Open the root/hidden Library folder on the ‘Go’ menu bar. Note- The Library folder is hidden in Mac OSX Yosemite. And to display this folder, you need to select on the ‘Go’ menu bar then hold down the ‘Option’ key.  Open the ‘Group Containers’ folder. Search the folder whose name ends with ‘. Office’ and try to open it.  You need to look for the ‘Com.microsoft.officeprefs.plist’ file in the folder. You need to delete this particular file by placing it on the trash. Tips-This will delete the Office setup preferences that have been set during the initial stage of the app. Reboot the application to check whether the issues still persist or not. If it still remains then go for deleting the entire folder which you receive in step (iv). Tips- This deletion will help you with the deleting all the previous settings and preferences that were all set across the entire app. They will also reset Office back to the initial set up. For launching any of the Office products on your system you need to visit Office.com/setup link.  Perform clean reboot of your system To know how to clean the Operating System (OS), search for the correct steps on the internet. If the problem still persists then go with the next step.  Uninstall and reinstall MS-Office apps Look for the correct steps to uninstall and reinstall Office apps by following the correct steps. If the issues still remain or continue to come up in Safe mode then follow the next step. Go with the ‘Repair Disk Permissions’ feature You can try to use the ‘Repair Disk Permissions’ feature to solve the issues with Mac OS X 10.2 or later versions. Follow the steps as listed below to use the Repair Disk Permissions feature- Select the ‘Utilities’ on the ‘Go’ menu bar. Commence with the Disk Utility program. Choose the primary hard disk drive from your system. Select ‘Repair Disk Permissions’ from the ‘First Aid’ tab. Note- The Disk Utility program only repairs the software that has been installed by Apple as well as the folder like Applications folder.
