01 Night / 02 Days  Please Note: – We have mentioned few places which you may pick and choose. As per your liking we will take you these places depending upon the time available. Day 01: Ahmedabad – Lothal – Dholavira  Morning our representative will receive you and will drive straight towards Lothal (90 km – 2 hrs 30 mts drive).  On reaching at Lothal we will explore the Lothal Town. Lothal city is one of the well-known cities of the ancient Indus valley civilization. The origin and history of Lothal can be dated back to 2400 BC. Lothal in Gujarat is one of the primary sites of archaeology. Though, it was discovered in the year 1954, but its excavation work began on the February 13, 1955, which continued till May 19, 1960. It was done by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) (Closed Every Friday). After Lunch we will drive straight towards Dholavira (410 km – 8 hrs 30 mts drive). Enroute we have to stop at Rapar. At Rapar you need to take permission. After taking permission we will continue to drive the Dholavira Overnight stay at Dholavira  Day 02: Dholavira – Ahmedabad After breakfast we will explore the Dholavira Town. Dholavira: Dholavira is an ancient town situated in the state of Gujarat. It lies on the North West corner of the Khadir Island and stands surrounded by water in the monsoons. It was discovered in the year 1967 AD. The ruins of the settlement found here are believed to be more than 5000 years old. These excavation sites are one of the largest Harappan sites in India. If you are interested in knowing about the ancient history and the primordial civilization of the country then Dholavira is the perfect place for you. It is estimated that Dholavira is even older than the port city of Lothal. The excavations conducted here came up with a number of ancient artifacts, like seals, beads, animal bones, gold, silver, terracotta ornaments and vessels linked to Mesopotamia. There is even evidence that the town was an important trade center between other settlements in Sind, Punjab and Western Asia. The most fascinating discovery of Dholavira is the large inscription, comprising of ten letters in the Indus script. Each letter has been engraved on slices of crystalline material You can also visit the Fossil Park. Look at amazing view at the place. We had to walk for about 2.5 kms on little hill. Then only we got to see Fossil Park, which is surrounded by green railing. And breathtaking white desert was again welcoming us with open sky….. Afterwards we will drive straight towards Ahmedabad (390 km – 8 hrs drive). On reaching at Ahmedabad by evening we will drop you at place of your choice.
