Yes, you heard that right! Microsoft latest visual tool to organize team work and many other tasks will get support guest users in the next few months. The announcement for Microsoft Planner to have the Guest Access was made earlier this week by Office Servers and Services MVP Juan Carlos Gonzalez (through MS Power user) and Microsoft notes. This feature will be made available for the users of Office 365 in the next few days. With Microsoft Planner Service, you can do the following: Create a plan Build a team Assign a task Update status and do a lot more With this new feature, the users will be able to invite external users to view and edit tasks. This feature will definitely benefit the companies working with external consultants and freelancers. In order to access this feature, Office 365 admin will have to enable it first by visiting the settings for the Office 365 Group. The guest users will also be able to have complete access on the Planner plans for different teams and groups they have been added to, said Microsoft officials in a statement. Apart from embedding the Guest Access Support, the company has also announced on the Planner Uservice website that it is also working on a Planner UWP application. However, Microsoft has already released Planner applications for the mobile platforms, i.e. iOS and Android and this news of launching the Planer UWP app for Windows 10 users would be a great step. In addition to the aforementioned ones, a number of other Planner improvements and updates are in the queue, said the company’s officials.  Source :  http://office-setup-install.com/microsoft-planner-to-get-guest-access-support-its-confirmed/
