After losing 2 long hours of my life and yawning for the most part of it, I got myself together from the tragedy that was ‘Baywatch’ movie.
Speaking of tragedies in this movie, Priyanka Chopra didn’t quite fit into a negative role and neither could her dresses. If I am not wrong, she wore 4 or 5 outfits and hardly 1 or 2 were anything other than abysmal.
A flamingo pink pencil dress in the beginning was outstanding, but wearing that to a beach was absurd. (Spoiler alert) Even if she went to the beach for a minute and practically lived there.
Secondly, she wore a deep V neck floral bodycon dress and with a heavy square rimmed sunglasses. That was more like the slaying queen we know.
The look in which we saw her in the trailer of this movie was a class apart and the only other dress of hers’ that competed with that, was a Single strap sequin dress that she wore towards the end of the movie. It didn’t have any plunging deep neckline like the previous dresses, but somehow that was the only dress that pulled off the role of a bad ass bitchery villain that should have been Victoria Leeds aka Priyanka Chopra.
All in all, it was not the dresses or Priyanka but the director ‘Seth Gordan’, who couldn’t capture the essence of the role and what dresses should have been associated according to situations. And let’s just face it, the script and the whole movie was disappointing.
