1. Chamomile tea- it is a soothing tea which is somewhat apple flavored. It has mild sedative nature and is beneficial in relieving anxiety, sleep deprivation and indigestion. Chamomile tea flowers need to be steeped properly for five minutes in order to secure maximum benefits. People who take blood-thinner medicines should avoid its usage.

 

2. Peppermint tea- it is very popular because of its refreshing fragrance. It is highly effective in cold flu, bronchitis, diarrhea and congestion. The menthol present in peppermint acts a muscle relaxant and takes away the stress induced in the body after a tiring day. Its preparation takes 1 teaspoon of peppermint in about 8 ounce water which should be steeped for 3 to 4 minutes. Its usage should be avoided in pregnancy.

 

3. Lemon balm tea- it has a slight lemon flavor. Its intake reduces the secretion of cortisol hormone which reduces stress and refreshes the mood. 1 tablespoon of lemon balm leaves should be used for every cup.

 

4. Rose tea- it has a very good calming effect and is very helpful in sleep deprivation. It can be prepared from fresh or dried rose petals. In order to make rose tea the petals should be heated for 5 to 10 minutes in low heat.
