The Fall/Winter season in fashion is one that everyone looks up to. It is a time when designers come up with some of the most creative innovations in basic outfits and silhouettes as well as new outfits. It is fascinating to see how new designs come up while still serving the basic purpose of protection from the cold and winds.
So let’s take a look at the latest fall/winter fashion trends in menswear:
- Everything extra-large – This season it is all about extra-long, extra-large and extra high. Long running men’s coats, trench coats, pants that sit high above the waist, calf-length winter coats and the like are taking runways by storm. Whether it is casual wear or formal wear, the length and the fit is likely to be extra, for a long time now.
- Padded jackets – Whether it is a leather jacket or a bomber jacket, padded is the way to go this season. Protection seems to have taken the front seat and so it became the rule in style as well. Sleeveless or not, padded jackets are in fashion.
- Normcore – This trend has been doing fashion cycles for a long time now and it is not likely to go anywhere soon. Nowadays, normcore fashion is being popularized by high end brands as well.
- Faux fur –This season faux fur seems to have taken an all-time high leap in to fashion. People have now come around just how fashionable, versatile and comfortable faux fur is. From a faux fur sweater to even a faux fur leather jacket the trend has become all encompassing. It is pulling more people to try the trend and for good because everyone gets a substitute for fur.
- Orange – The color orange is without a doubt symbolic of the fall season. For the same reason and a million more, signifying energy, sunny vibrancy and even psychedelic shades, the color orange is simply dominating the entire fall/winter season now.
- Simple knitted cardigan sweaters – Even though there are many outrageous and cutting edge fashion trends this season, simplicity still is and always will remain a classic trend. Nowadays there are many stores that offer cheap mens knitted cardigans too. So there is no question of affordability now.
- Turtleneck sweaters – Just like the previous few seasons, turtleneck sweaters are one of the most comfortable options for men in the fall and winter seasons. For the same reason they are most sought after even if there are many other sweater options in the market.
- Fanny packs – We don’t know if it is because of the famous bomb of a collab between Supreme and Louis Vuitton for their fanny pack, but this season the fanny pack trend is on an all-time high. I am pretty sure every one of your favorite celebrities probably already has one.
- Leather trousers – After leather jackets, now is the time for leather trousers. We already know that leather jackets are not going anywhere. Let’s see how leather trousers fare in menswear this season.
