Spending your money online wisely is one thing.
Asking to get your online money returned because you don't believe you received good value...
Well, that's another thing altogether.
Because most people are passive and never bother to ask for a return of their money.
This creates a ripple effect because the marketers involved never get the feedback that:
*** Their product or service is insufficient
*** It comes with false claims
*** It's outrageously overpriced for what you actually get
*** And they shouldn't get to keep your money!
Oh sure, most products and programs sold on the Internet come with a Satisfaction Guarantee. And that's fine if you remember the time frame to get your money back no questions asked. It's also well known throughout the world of business that most people never ask for refunds. Only about 3% do and so business owners figure that into their expected income calculations.
So the offer of a 30, 60, 90 day or lifetime guarantee is more of a marketing tool. Although, to be fair,
we've asked for and received refunds, some effortlessly and some having to suffer the scorn of
the marketer.
And what about attending a live event and realizing that you are not getting what was promised? There
you are, what do you do? Be sure to always read the money-back policy carefully. But if you feel totally
burned by a live program, ask for a refund, no matter the policy.
Act on your deep urge to have fairness prevail. You may not get satisfaction, but you won't have sold-out on yourself. Don't just take it.
And if you want to go further there's your blog. Take the marketing promise of Money Back Policy seriously, especially if the promotional copy reads "no questions asked." That's your responsibility as a buyer.
