2. Red Fort – Red Fort is a monument of Mughal Sultanate in India which was later used as barracks by the British army. Every year we celebrate Republic Day and Independence Day at the Red Fort to mark its importance in the Indian history. Entry fee is INR150 and guided audio tours are also available. It is closed for visitors on Mondays.
3. Qutab Minar – Qutab Minar happens to be tallest minaret in the world i.e. 73 meters constructed with bricks. It is recognized as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You can visit Monday to Friday with an entry fee of INR250.
4. Jantar Mantar – Constructed by Maharaja Jaisingh in 1794 is a genius observatory of architectural astronomy as it was built to predict the time using the movement of sun, moon and other planets. It is open all days with an entry fee of INR100.
5. Akshardham Temple – Recognized by Guinness book of world records, Akshardham temple showcases a brilliant architecture. The temple is an amazing quintessence of Indian culture and Hindu mythology. It is closed on Mondays and entry is free to the premises but if you want to see the ongoing exhibitions or the musical fountain show there's a minimal charge for it.
6. The Bahai/Lotus Temple – A beautiful Bahai temple constructed with white marble that looks exactly like a lotus is sure to leave you spellbound. Entry is free and it's closed only on Mondays.
7. Chandni Chowk – Chandni Chowk is full of cheap jewellery, fabrics, electronics and undoubtedly a variety of flavoursome food. Rickshaw rides are a must if you're in Chandni Chowk. It is open all days.
8. Connaught Place – Known as CP amongst locals, it was built by British and now is home to stores of various national & international brands, Cafes & Clubs, book stores and local goods like junk jewellery, handbags and other accessories etc. It is open all days.
9. Agrasen ki Baoli – It is another architectural marvel in Delhi which was built by Maharaja Ugrasen. It is open all days for visit.
10. Humayun's Tomb – An amazing Historical Monument from Mughal Era, Humayun's Tomb has picturesque gardens, water channels and of course an evidence of gorgeous Mughal architecture. It is open for visitors from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the week.
