Ministry of Eduation also called Department of Education. Education Act 1944 created the Ministry of Education United Kingdom. It was renamed from   It is based on the Board of Education. It is the central government department, which makes policy for education in England. They are responsible of making education policies, regulating and implementation. 18 agencies and public bodies support the Ministry of Eduation.

The Ministry of Education of UK is Responsible of Following:

·         They are responsible for education, children’s services, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England, and equalities.

·         They work towards achieving a highly educated society in which opportunity is equal for all, no matter what their background or family circumstances, by focusing efforts on policies which raise children’s attainment, and to close the gap between disadvantaged children and their peers to create a world-leading education and children’s services system.

·         Their responsibility is also creating great workforce that will help them in teaching and delivering high quality system to improve the education standard.

·         They have policies for academics and free education at school, Arts and Culture, Childcare and early education, Children outside mainstream education (alternative provision), Children's health, Children's social workers, Education of disadvantaged children, Equality, Family justice system, Further education and training, Looked-after children and adoption, Poverty and social justice, School and college accountability, School and college funding, School and college funding, Young people, Teaching and school leadership, Sports participation, Special educational needs and disability (SEND), School building and maintenance, and School behavior and attendance.

·         They work towards identifying issues, risk, and ways to deal with them. Firstly, systemic risks, which are about the building blocks of our education system: these are permanent risks in the system and require ongoing Management Committee oversight because of the severity of their impact if realized. Secondly, delivery risks that is the specific current policy and reform programs. Lastly, the corporate risks, which is the effective running of the Department.

·         They are in to social research on regular basis, which aims towards providing best quality evidences to notify about the policy development and delivery. These evidences are necessary in their services, which is considered fundamental in order to improve the education and children’s services that they aim to provide. They have published a collection of papers that set out research priorities and questions across education and children’s services for the research community, sector and department. Their aim of publishing paper is to encourage researchers, sector organizations and practitioners to discuss research needs and contribute to the development of the policy and practice.
