1888PressRelease - Facebook group - "Australian independent camping suppliers co-op" - created by Survival Storehouse Pty Ltd to bring together independent suppliers to the outdoors market across the country.
Survival Storehouse has been providing Mainstay emergency food and water kits for over seven years in Australia. During this time they have established a solid reputation for great customer service and focus in a niche area of a growing market - emergency preparedness and survival skills.
During this time they have talked to, met and interacted with a number of suppliers as well as individuals and groups interested in the great Australian outdoors.
"It's a tough and demanding challenge to run a small business in Australia and we have created this group to bring together some of the great people and businesses we have met to share ideas, opportunities, products and services in the spirit of the old Australian co-op or corner store.
We have contacts in camping and bush-craft, aviation, boating, hunting, mining, digital media, blogging, suppliers and consumers, to name a few. Social media has rapidly grown into a sharp business tool and so we came up with the idea to share what we have learned over the life of our business. It is always changing and evolving so I think we all need as much help as we can get.
There have been a lot of challenges, from sourcing products, product reviews, web design, YouTube, shopping cart, Facebook, Google, AdWords advertising, eBay, delivery of products, identifying new opportunities, communicating effectively are just are small sample of the skills needed - there is a lot to know and do. Creating a small group that can help increase business while supporting our great customers is the aim of the co-op."
We have build up a solid email list for our monthly newsletter and our facebook page has over 6,400 likes. We always get a great response from both and are looking for new content all the time, we see this as a great way to help our customers, friends and business contacts get the word out about what they are doing to a rapidly expanding Australian market segment.
