(1888 PressRelease) The extra seven flights per week between Bangkok and Yangon in Myanmar will operate until 24 October 2015.

The additional daily flight is operated by Thai Airways International subsidiary THAI Smile using A320-200 aircraft with a seat configuration of 12 Premium Economy seats and 156 Economy seats. Departure from Bangkok is at 13:05 with arrival in Yangon at 14:00. The return flight departs Yangon at 15:00 to arrive in Bangkok at 16:55.

Please note that the flight number for the THAI Smile Bangkok-Yangon flight shows as TG 4 digits, but it must be reserved and ticketed through THAI ticketing counters only and not THAI Smile.

Thai Airways International will continue, meanwhile, operating its four times a week Bangkok-Rome service. An earlier decision to suspend the service with the activation of the international winter schedule 2015/2016 has been postponed and therefore the flights linking the Thai and Italian capital cities are available until 1 February 2016.

The decision will allow THAI to meet travel demand during the high season in Rome. The Thai airline will work with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to jointly promote roundtrip travel on the route. THAI flies the Bangkok-Rome route on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
